UNEP and FAO jointly established a Global Termite Expert Group (GTEG) to assist countries in reducing / replacing the use of POP termiticides by providing guidance and information. During its meetings, the expert group develops guidance and information materials related to the biology and management of termites in constructions, agriculture and forestry. The group first came together in 2000 as the UNEP/FAO/Global IPM Facility Expert Group on Termite Biology and Management.
