Below is the final draft version of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants in the six official United Nations languages.

 

Although not an official document, the attached will be released without further changes as an attachment to the meeting document UNEP/POPS/CONF/2 for the upcoming Conference of Plenipotentiaries on the Stockholm Convention, 22-23 May 2001, in Stockholm, Sweden.  It is provided in advance, in this medium only, to assist Governments in obtaining the necessary full powers to adopt and sign the Convention in Stockholm. UNEP/POPS/CONF/2 will be available by 30 March 2001.

 

Please be advised the document has been revised per the process indicated in paragraph 88 in the report of the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee, UNEP/POPS/INC.5/7.   The attached table indicates the changes made in paragraph numbering from the text included in Appendix I of UNEP/POPS/INC.5/7 to the final draft text attached below.
