Comments on revised draft
of 4 October 2002
The
Working Group reviewed the draft assessment report (of 17 July 2002) during the
Working Group meeting 9-13 September 2002 and agreed to a number of changes and additions.
The
Working Group agreed to a process to finalize the assessment report
and requested the secretariat to circulate the revised version of the
draft report by 4 October 2002 to members of the Working Group, with a
deadline for comments to be submitted by 1 November 2002. Comments received are available in
PDF-format in
the table below. Some additional follow-up with regards to
comments made during the Working Group meeting took place directly
with the members involved. These discussions are not reflected
below. The Secretariat, when finalizing the assessment report, as far
as possible took into consideration the comments received on the
revised draft of 4 October 2002. However, a few Working Group members
at this time also submitted new data and information. Since this
information was not available and discussed by the Working Group
during its September meeting, it was not included in the final
assessment report. Nonetheless, the Secretariat will keep this
information on file for later discussions, should the UNEP Governing
Council decide on follow-up activities.
