First session of the intergovernmental negotiating committee to prepare a global legally binding instrument on mercury

The first session of the committee will be held in Stockholm, Sweden, from June 7 to 11 2010. A technical briefing session will be held on Sunday morning 6 June from 9 am to 1 pm.

The invitation letter (English, French and Spanish) was out to governments and representatives of intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations in January 2010. Registration forms should be submitted by all intending participants. Non-governmental organizations are reminded of the need for accreditation to participate in the negotiating process as an observer.
