Governments,
intergovernmental
organizations
and non-governmental
organizations were requested by UNEP Chemicals to submit information on
point sources as a contribution to the development of the report addressing
global atmospheric mercury emissions.

There is a lack of good information on point sources in many countries. Such
information improves the possibility to distribute total emissions
geographically and is important in order to present the most accurate
picture of the situation.
The report
“Atmospheric Mercury Emissions: Inventory, Sources and Transport” will be
presented to the GC 25.
