Information System on Financial Assistance

UNEP Chemicals has the mandate to strengthen the ability of countries to identify and communicate needs of donors to make potential recipients aware of resources. These could involve technical, financial, and policy assistance. This clearing house component includes the following four sections to meet the specific needs:

• Requests from Governments for Assistance:an overview of technical, financial, and policy assistance requested by developing countries and countries with economies in transition
• Donor Information: information from donor organisation, such as contacts, activities, policies and procedures, and evaluation of development aid;
• Completed/Ongoing Projects:specific projects, completed or underway, aimed at reducing and/or eliminating releases of persistent organic pollutants into the environment; and
• Useful Links: POPs-related links to other information sources on the Internet
