ENDOCRINE DISRUPTive COMPOUNDS IN EAST ASIA (EDC) Since
1999, United Nations University (UNU) has been managing a network of water
pollution monitoring in coastal areas of 8 East Asian countries: China,
Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam. Its

happen to be POPs. Specifically the programme targets the following set
of compounds:
- organochlorine pesticides (DDT, DDE, HCH, endrin, dieldrin, etc.) - alkylphenols and bisphenyl-A - phthalates Web site: http://landbase.hq.unu.edu/Monitoring/MonitoringtheEnvironment.htm |
