As of 1998, Sudan formally reported the use of DDT for vector control.
Of the reported 2.082 t of pesticides used in 2003, 182 t were chlorinated hydrocarbons – mostly DDT.5

Reported organochlorine insecticide (assumed DDT) use for malaria control was 4,8 t in 1997 and 2,5 t in 1998.
