Yes1 In the reporting period 2001-2003, the amounts of DDT used were: (2001 - 1.262 kg, 2002 - 1.183,5 kg and 2003 - 870,3 kg).1

In the reporting period 2003-2005, the amounts of DDT used were: (2003 - 1.089 kg, 2004 - 1.097 kg and 2005 - 799 kg).1

About 1.500 kg of DDT are used yearly.2

DDT is still in use (only for vector control) in Mauritius.  DDT is used to an extent of 50-100 kg per year, when malaria cases are reported. The application of DDT is strictly controlled by the officials of the Ministry of Health.3

Reported DDT use in 2000 1.187 kg, in 2001 1.262 kg and in 2002 NR.6

Reported DDT use in 2003 872 kg, in 2004 899 kg and in 2005 625 kg.6.3

In the reporting period 2003-2005, the amount of DDT stock was 116.000 kg.1

An old legacy of an obsolete DDT stockpile of 30 metric tons is stored in the government warehouses.3
