Activities - Case Studies

This section provides information on studies and experiences of relevance to the reduction and/or phase-out of DDT use. Some case studies touch on more general issues of concern in connection with DDT use and alternative strategies for sustainable vector management. The various vector management measures presented are examples of what is possible in specific settings. They do not constitute universal recommendations because each situation is unique and will require local assessment, site-specific considerations and local adaptations. The principles and decision-making criteria for IVM constitute the permanent core of this process.
