The UNEP Executive Director, Achim Steiner, through his letter dated 26 March 2007, "urge all Governments in a position to do so to give careful consideration to the support they can offer to this work [Governing Council decision 24/3] . The early declaration of financial and technical support will facilitate the detailed planning of the activities with Governments requested in the decision".
