Meeting of partners and other stakeholders on the UNEP Global Mercury Partnership

The meeting of partners and other stakeholders to discuss the overarching framework of the UNEP Global Mercury Partnership took place from 1 to 3 April 2008, at the World Meteorological Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.

Decision 24/3, adopted by the twenty-fourth session of the Governing Council/Global Ministerial Environment Forum, requested UNEP, working in consultation with Governments and other stakeholders, to strengthen the UNEP Global Mercury Partnership. In response to this decision, the meeting brought together representatives of Governments, regional economic integration organizations, intergovernmental organizations and civil society organizations.
