| Background data
(1995-2005 data) have been downloaded from the UN Comtrade database and
organized into data sheets for each individual country that routinely
submits the relevant statistics to the UN Comtrade system, showing trade
with other partner countries. These background data sheets for each
country are provided below. Please note the comments
on coverage and limitations in the UN Comtrade data as indicated by
the UN Statistics Division.
Please note that the UN Statistics Division
has confirmed to UNEP that use of the COMTRADE data for the purpose of
developing the report on supply, trade and demand information on mercury
is in accordance with the UN Statistics Division dissemination and
copyright policy.
However, outside users should take note of the UN
Comtrade License Agreement which can be found on the web pages of the UN
Comtrade site. The License Agreement specifies that the UN Comtrade
data are copyrighted by the United Nations and are made available for your
internal use only. They may not be re-disseminated in any form without
prior written consent of the United Nations Statistics Division. Please

information on re-disseminating data.
